Leandra A. Esfakis

Leandra A. Esfakis was called to the Bahamas Bar and the Bar of England and Wales in 1980. Leandra has worked as an Attorney in The Bahamas for 28 years, and practices in the areas of Wills, Estates, Probate and Administration of Estates, Real Estate (residential and mortgages), and Corporate Services. Leandra also has a background in Civil Litigation.
Leandra joined the Firm as a partner in July 2014. Prior to joining, Leandra was a partner at a long established law firm in Nassau, and previously a sole practitioner of her firm in downtown Nassau.
Leandra was employed in Mexico City with Marine Midland Bank, N.A. for several years in the administration of US dollar loans to large Mexican corporations. Subsequently she returned to the Bahamas to join a large commercial firm in Nassau as an associate in civil litigation.
Leandra has also served as lecturer in Spanish at the College of the Bahamas (now University of The Bahamas), University of British Columbia, and Vancouver Community College, and Legal Associate at Legal Information Systems & Technology (International Trade Law) located in the Law Courts in Vancouver British Columbia.
Leandra’s main areas of practice are real estate, wills, probate, and administration of estates. She has served as an expert witness abroad on Bahamian law relating to Wills and inheritance.
